A Forever Home In Central Kentucky
Right now, in Kentucky, nearly 10,000 dogs and cats will run out of time this year. Not because they were unlovable. Not because they did anything wrong. Only because there was no room, no home, and no one left to say 'I'll take her.'
A Forever Home for the Forgotten.
Sempiternal Sanctuary exists to rewrite the ending. We rescue as many of these dogs and cats as we possibly can and bring them home to our sanctuary, where the ones nobody else chose finally get what they were always owed: a safe place, a full belly, and the rest of their days lived in peace.
For every other soul we can reach, we bring our community together to foster, to adopt, and to open the doors that were closed to them.
We're a forever home for the forgotten. Rescued for good, cherished for life.
27 Lives Ended Before Tomorrow Morning.
Every single day in Kentucky, 27 dogs and cats run out of time. Not because they were beyond help. Because there was no room. Sempiternal Sanctuary exists because that number is not acceptable.

What We Do
A Permanent Home. A Living Community.
Forever Home for Sick & Senior Animals
We provide a permanent, loving sanctuary for dogs and cats who are elderly, ill, or have nowhere else to turn. Every resident at Sempiternal Sanctuary receives lifelong care — medical attention, warm meals, and the dignity of spending their remaining days in peace.
Foster & Adoption in Our Community
For every animal we can reach beyond our sanctuary walls, we work to connect them with foster families and forever homes right here in Central Kentucky. If you have room in your home and heart, there is a dog or cat waiting.
Meet the Ones Who Needed Us Most.
These are the faces behind our mission — senior dogs and cats who found their way to Sempiternal Sanctuary, and animals in our community waiting for a foster or forever home.
You Can Open the Door.
Every single day, 27 dogs and cats in Kentucky run out of time. Sempiternal Sanctuary refuses to accept that math — but we cannot rewrite the ending alone.
Foster. Adopt. Donate. However you can show up, you give a forgotten animal the one thing they were always owed: a chance.
